Russian Foreign Ministry appreciates solidarity in wake of Karlov's murder

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow appreciates the words of support from its partners in connection with the assassination of Ambassador Andrey Karlov in Ankara.

"We express our appreciation to all our colleagues and partners for their words of support. We highly appreciate the solidarity shown to us," Sputnik cited the ministry as saying.

Karlov was shot at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara late on Monday. The Russian Foreign Ministry said it considers the attack a terrorist act.
