Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov dismissed as rumors on Friday suggestions of air traffic restoration with Egypt in October.
He said that the Russian delegation inspected all three Egyptian airports and "appreciated their readiness and compliance with international requirements".
The minister noted Egypt's significant advances toward airport safety levels in resort cities, but said it was too early to restore air traffic between the countries.
"These are indeed rumors, although I can say that our Egyptian colleagues have done a lot. This is a big step toward establishing international aviation security standards," Sputnik cited Sokolov as saying.
