Russian actor and director Yuri Kushnerev passed away today at the age of 81, according to the website of the Russian Union of Cinematographers.
A ceremony of paying last respects to the artist will be held on January 10 in the Ritual Hall of the Central Clinical Hospital.
Yuri Kushnerev graduated from the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors in 1972. He began his film career in 1968 as an assistant director and second director. Later he worked at Mosfilm.
He was in the films "Autumn Marathon" and "Passport". He was the second director of 'Mimino' and producer and executive producer of all the films of Georgy Danelia, RIA Novosti reports.
