A Russian and Soviet theater actress, Varvara Shurhovetskaya, died today. She was 104. The actress died in Rostov-on-Don, the Rostov branch of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation reported.
During the Great Patriotic War, Varvara Shurhovetskaya performed at the front line and in hospitals as a participant of the Red Army theater troupe, Interfax reports.
After the Great Victory, Varvara Shurhovetskaya lived and worked in Rostov-on-Don, where she played at the Rostov Comedy Theater and Rostov Gorky Academic Drama Theater.
