The Russian delegation has decided not to participate in the January session of the Parliamentary Assembly of The Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg on 25 January, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Ties with Compatriots, Leonid Slutsky, said.
Recall, in 2014 PACE striped Russia of the right to vote and take part in the Assembly’s governing bodies in connection with the situation in Crimea. In 2015 the Russian delegation refused to participate in the work of the organization.
PACE also decided to extend its sanctions against the Russian delegation, Interfax reports.
