Famous Russian satirist Mikhail Zadornov passed away at the age of 69, TV host Regina Dubovitskaya said.
"Yes, Mikhail Nikolaevich died. That's all I can say for now, it was unexpected," RIA Novosti cited her as saying.
In early October, Zadornov was forced to cancel some of his concerts before the New Year due to illness, without specifying details.
It is known that the artist suffered from cancer and underwent surgery last year, Izvestia writes.
