Russians believe opinion polls

A poll conducted by the Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) said that the majority of Russians (71%) trust the opinion polls. 

At the same time, 23% of respondents do not believe the polls. This percentage is higher among the supporters of non-parliamentary parties (35%) and the electorate of the Liberal Democratic Party (33%). For the last two years the level of confidence increased (66% in 2013).

The number of Russian citizens who believe that the polls are needed also increased: 69% of Russians in 2013, 84% in 2015, Gazeta.ru reports.
