The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will start closing its representative offices in those countries where SOCAR commercial divisions will be able to perform these functions from January 2016.
The company's management’s decision on the economy due to the global collapse in oil prices will not affect the activities of the SOCAR Trading’s offices, which can also undertake "the necessary representation functions of SOCAR abroad," abc.az cited a source as saying.
