The leader of the Movement of New Forces party and former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili was taken to the Pechersky District Court of Kiev.
According to the lawyer Ruslan Chornolutsky,a session to choose a measure of restraint for the earlier detained Saakashvili is scheduled for 12.00pm.
"The session will be held at 12.00 in the second hall. Automatic distribution has already been conducted, and a judge has been appointed," Interfax cited the lawyer as saying.
He added that the prosecutor would demand that the court place Saakashvili under round-the-clock house arrest for two months and oblige him to appear for investigative actions.
At the same time, the defense team opposes any preventive measure.
