The head of 'Rosneft' Igor Sechin considers the proposal of a number of independent oil producers to cut production against the background of its increase in OPEC countries to be strange.
"There are various attitudes to such proposals within the organization (OPEC). A number of member states, on the contrary, are increasing production. Therefore, the proposal by independent producers to cut production in light of the fact that OPEC itself is increasing it looks strange," TASS quoted him as saying.
The head of 'Rosneft' reminded about the existence of ideas to conduct joint meetings of OPEC and independent oil producers.
At the same time, he does not plan to participate in any consultations with OPEC.
