The second day of the 2018 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup AGF Trophy has started in Baku at the National Gymnastics Arena.
Men’s vault and women's balance beam qualification event started today at 12:00 am local time (11:00am Moscow time). Men’s pommel horse and horizontal bar qualification events, as well as women's floor exercise will be held at 15:00 pm (14:00 pm Moscow time).
Azerbaijan will be represented by Yuliya Inshina (balance beam, floor exercises), Marina Nekrasova (floor exercises), Maria Smirnova (balance beam), Murad Agarzayev (vault, horizontal bar), Dariy Morozov (pommel horse), Timur Bayramov (horizontal bar).
Yesterday, the women's qualifications were held in the vault and uneven bars exercises and the men's qualifications in the rings and parallel bars exercises. Azerbaijan gymnast Marina Nekrasova reached the final in both women's exercises, Julia Inshina got a chance to compete for medals in the vault, Maria Smirnova - in uneven bars. The best in men's floor exercise was Rok Klavora from Slovenia (14.166 points). Turkey's Ferhat Arican was the best in the parallel bars events. Greek gymnasts Eleftherios Petrounias was the best in the rings, Oksana Chusovitina (Uzbekistan) - in the vault.
The 2018 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup AGF Trophy is been held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan on March 15-18. A total of 102 gymnasts from 25 countries are taking part in the competitions.
The qualifying competitions are being held on March 15-16. The finals in the men's floor exercise, men's parallel bars, men's ring, as well as finals in women's vault and women's uneven bars will be held on March 17. The finals in the men's vault, men's pommel horse, men's horizontal bar, as well as finals in women's balance beam and women's floor exercise will be held on March 18.
