Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar held telephone talks yesterday evening, the Turkish defense ministry said.
The parties discussed issues of regional security, first of all the situation in Idlib. Shoigu and Akar reiterated commitment to the Astana and Sochi agreements, Anadolu Agency reported.
In addition, the two ministers exchanged views on measures that are necessary to take to reach peace and stability and maintain the ceasefire in the region.
