221 flights from two of Istanbul's airports scheduled for December 31st and January 1st have been delayed due to snowfall in Turkey, the Hurriyet newspaper reports.
Heavy snow also led to the closure of schools and roads, cancellation of ferries running between Istanbul’s European and Asian coasts. More than 1100 vehicles are working to clear the roads, RIA Novosti reports.
