Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced his resignation as a Kazakh Prime Minister during the government meeting on August 21.
He said he will hand over a resignation letter to the President following the meeting.
He was officially registered as a presidential candidate, the chairperson of the Central Elections Committee Nurjan Shayldabekova has handed him a certificate.
Earlier, two presidential candidates, two former Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov and Temir Sariyev, were registered as candidates, AKIpress reported.
Presidential elections are due to start on October 15.
