Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev noted that Baku's interest in the Southern Gas Corridor project coincides with the interest of the European Commission, since it is important for both sides.
The minister also reported that 66% of the work needed to purchase first gas volumes has been completed.
Recall, Azerbaijan plans to export 10 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe per year through Georgia and Turkey in the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor project.
