Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov informed today about plans to place bonds on the international market for the Southern Gas Corridor. These are not state bonds, as the government doesn't plan to place government securities on foreign markets in 2016.
"The JSC Southern Gas Corridor is to place bonds. The project is of great importance for Azerbaijan, and perhaps we will provide a state guarantee for these bonds in order to raise interest in them," Trend cites him as saying.
Citibank, JP Morgan and the Unicredit bank will be involved in the process:. Their total amount is $2 billion.
