Special operation against extremism conducted in Kyrgyzstan

The law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan have held a series of special operations in the south of the country to curb the activities of extremists and terrorists, the press service of the Interior Ministry of the republic said.

"During a special operation carried out by State Ministry of Interior employees in cooperation with the territorial divisions of the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of the State National Security in the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, 19 crimes of a terrorist and extremist nature were solved. As a result of measures to combat extremism, 17 cases of incitement to national and religious discord and hatred on the territory of the Jalal-Abad region were uncovered," RIA Novosti cited the press service as saying.
