Washington is concerned about the legal process around the shares of the TV station Rustavi 2, US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said.
"The State Department is concerned about the situation with the major media in Georgia," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
Toner said that he hopes that the Georgian leadership will cope with this issue. He also recalled about the talks between the US and the Georgian authorities, during which the latter reaffirmed their aspiration to promote freedom of the media.
