A car bomb exploded near the entrance to Kabul Airport, Reuters reports.
According a security officer, the suicide bomber drove a vehicle into the first checkpoint on the road into the airport. He said that the attack appeared to have been aimed at two armored cars, RIA Novosti reports.
None of the groups operating in the region have taken responsibility for the attack yet.
