The former head of North Ossetia, Taimuraz Mamsurov, could become the representative of the executive authority of the region in the Federation Council in September, succeeding Oleg Hatsaev.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed the head of North Ossetia, Taimuraz Mamsurov, in connection with the expiration of the term of office. Tamerlan Aguzarov has been appointed as acting head of the region.
