The lower house of the Tajik parliament has unanimously endorsed the amendments to the Constitution, which give the right to incumbent head of state Emomali Rahmon to be elected an unlimited number of times.
The draft law on the amendments to the Constitution of Tajikistan has been forwarded to the Constitutional Court, which will determine the date of the subsequent referendum on the constitutional amendments.
The current Constitution of Tajikistan was adopted on 6 November 1994, TASS reminds.
