Tajikistan approves bill on Leader of nation

Tajik parliament’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) has approved a bill 'On Initiator of peace and accord – the Leader of the nation'.

According to the MP Abdulrahim Kholikzoda, the bill consists of 16 articles, which propose the integrity of the Leader of the nation, ensuring his pension, transportation, housing, insurance, as well as financing of expenses from the state budget.

The bill also proposes the creation of a museum, a library and an archive of the Leader of the nation. According to the bill, the Leader of the nation can participate in public meetings, address the people.
