The Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Taxes Sahib Alekperov said at the 5th tax forum titled 'Tax system of Azerbaijan: realities and prospects' that tax revenues have reached 7 billion manats.
The Deputy Minister said that at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development in 2015 and the upcoming challenges, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced major reforms in 2016.
"Despite the decline in oil prices, in 2015 the Ministry of Taxes transferred 7.118 billion to the state budget. Proceeds from the non-oil sector make up 70% of all tax revenues," Sahib Alekperov said.
