President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach stated today that the Executive Committee had approved the idea of establishing a team of refugees to participate in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
"I think that this team will include five to ten athletes. By creating this team, we want to give hope to refugees around the world," TASS quoted him as saying.
The Olympics will be held in Rio de Janeiro from August 5th to 21st.
