The terrorist attack in Jerusalem, when an unknown person slammed his car into a group of Israeli soldiers, could have been prompted by the 'Deal of the Century', proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, publicist and writer David Schechter said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
"This Trump plan caused tension among the Arab population of Israel, and it is possible that the actions of a lone killer were caused by his dissatisfaction with the 'deal of the century' proposed by the U.S. president. Most likely, the terrorist was not a member of any organization," the publicist noted.
"He didn’t plan this attack, he was just sitting in his car when his saw the soldiers walking down the street in front of him. And he decided to slam his car into them. According to our intelligence agencies, it’s almost impossible to prevent such an attack, since there’s no an organization like Hamas behind it and no one is preparing it in advance," David Schechter emphasized.
"But without a doubt, a variety of terrorist organizations will announce that it was their man," he added.
This morning, an motorist slammed his car into a group of Israeli soldiers, wounding 15 before fleeing the scene. One of the injured was seriously hurt.
Security forces found the suspect's vehicle in a driveway in Beit Jala, near Bethlehem. Israeli forces were searching for the assailant.
