French company Total may start drilling the first well at the Azerbaijani gas field Absheron in mid-2017, the head of the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, said.
He added that the drilling operations will be carried out from a new generation platform, which is being built by SOCAR, Trend reports.
