The European Commission has proposed holding tripartite talks on Russian gas supplies in the EU-Russia-Ukraine format in August, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.
The Russian government’s position is that it is unreasonable to negotiate the supplies so early. “We think that all conditions to purchase gas have been created, this is why consultations may appear only for discussion in the fourth quarter,” TASS cited Novak as saying.
”This is the right thing that Gazprom expects to fund its international projects at its own expense," he added.
