US President-elect Donald Trump has been named Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2016.
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton came second in the selection. Hackers, taken as a group, came in third after an election cycle in which cyberattacks played an outsize role. According to the magazine, they "took aim at American democracy itself".
The shortlist also includes Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as the Indian PM Narendra Modi.
Modi was awarded the reader's poll for Time's person of the year.
