Tehran regards the request of US President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia to increase oil production by 2 million barrels per day as an offer to leave OPEC, Iran’s representative in OPEC, Hussein Kazempur Ardebili, said today.
"If we throw aside the fact that Saudi Arabia does not have such capacities to increase oil production, this requirement can be regarded as an order to the kingdom to withdraw from OPEC," he said.
