Turkish Air Force planes are bombing PKK positions in northern Iraq.
The Air Force carried out air strikes on the PKK’s positions near the settlements of Zap, Gare, Metina, Avshin and Qandil.
The Turkish parliament adopted the so-called Syrian mandate in 2012. Under this mandate, Ankara is empowered to take any measures against the threat which can come from terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.
