A magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit Turkey at 14:35 local time yesterday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The epicenter was located 223 km southeast of the city of Izmir at a depth of 5 kilometers.

There was no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
