Turkish parliament allows military operations abroad

The Turkish parliament has extended the mandate that allows the country's authorities to use military force in Syria and Iraq for another year.

The parliament authorized the use of the Turkish army in other states on October 2nd 2014, at the request of the government, which motivated the need for the use of armed forces abroad because of the escalation of the crisis in Syria and the aggravation of the situation with the Islamic State terrorist organization.
