Turkmenistan initiates competition for design of mosque in Karabakh

The Turkmen Ministry of Construction and Architecture has launched a competition for the design and subsequent construction of a mosque in Fuzuli, Karabakh.

Applications may be submitted within ten days to the Ministry’s Department of Marketing and Foreign Economic Relations. 

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted that the proposal to build the mosque was made by Halk Maslahaty Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during his recent visit to Baku.

According to Ilham Aliyev, such a gift is very valuable for Azerbaijan.

"I accepted this offer with gratitude. Although only a month has passed, the architectural design of the mosque is already prepared",

Ilham Aliyev said.

Foundation laying preparations are underway in Fuzuli.
