Two Russian pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia today, but their deaths weren't connected with the recent crush near Mecca, which killed hundreds of people, the head of the Russian Hajj Mission, Magomed Gamzayev, said.
"Two pilgrims have died of strokes – one from the Chechen Republic, the other from Dagestan," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
"According to our data, no Russian pilgrim was hurt in the crush," Magomed Hamzayev said.
