The Iranian authorities decided to evacuate people from the two cites - Gomishan and Siminshahr, the deputy governor of the Golestan province said.
The population of Gomishan is 19191 people, the population of Siminshahr - 17205 people, İLNA reported.
According to officials, flash floods in southern Iran have killed at least 19 people and injured at least 100 more. Flood warnings have been issued in almost all provinces, including the capital Tehran, due to torrential rain in a country more accustomed to drought.
