  Two earthquakes hit Uzbekistan

An earthquake was registered in Uzbekistan at 9:37 am local time this morning, the Tashkent seismic station reported.

The 2-magnitude earthquake hit the capital city with the epicenter measuring 4.9 magnitude. It struck 170 km south-west of Tashkent.

The tremors near Tashkent and Almalyk cities measured 2-3 magnitude, AKIpress reports.

Another minor earthquake was earlier recorded in Uzbekistan 204 km of the city of Tashkent on February 2 with the epicenter in the Jizzakh region. The tremors in Jizzakh and Samarkand cities measured 2 points. No damages were reported.
