 UN Security Council doesn't adopt Russian draft resolution on Syria

A Russian draft resolution on Syria has been rejected by the UN Security Council.

The draft resolution calls to stop the shelling of Syrian territory, respect its sovereignty and drop all plans and attempts at armed invasion of its territory.

RIA Novosti reports with reference to a diplomatic source in the UN that the UK, the US and France as well as Spain, New Zealand and Ukraine voted against the draft.
