US diplomats received 35 invitations to attend the New Year celebrations in the Kremlin, the press service of the US Embassy in Moscow said Tuesday, just days after Washington’s decision to expel the same number of Russian diplomats from the United States.
“We received 35 invitations to the New Year celebrations in the Kremlin. Unfortunately, we do not comment on personal plans of our staff,” Sputnik cited the US embassy's press service as saying.
