Georgia has received confirmation of earlier pledges on the country's accession to NATO from representatives of the US State Department.
"We stand by the commitment we made in Bucharest that Georgia will become a member of NATO, and we continue to strongly support its aspirations on this path," the US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
It is worth noting that the US representative declined to comment on the possible accession of Ukraine to NATO, Trend reports.
