Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, evaluated the work of the Baku branch of Moscow State University, stressing that it is "one of the leading MSU branches."
"I really like the organization there. The Azerbaijani government built a new beautiful piedmont campus, and it has become one of the best campuses in the republic. The branch has all the opportunities for business trips and lectures of Moscow professors, many are happy to teach in Baku," the rector of Moscow State University noted, adding that the the Baku branch of Moscow State University has a very high level of training both in mathematics and other subjects.
"For these and other reasons, the Baku branch is progressing really good. I am confident that the entry will be highly competitive this year. I am proud of the Baku branch," Viktor Sadovnichy stressed.
One of the advantages of the Baku branch of Moscow State University is the high level of Russian language proficiency among students. "Of course, we need to take care of the Russian language, it is our duty to spread the great Russian word, because only those who graduated from school teaching Russian can enter the branches. Rossotrudnichestvo and other organizations should pay more attention to supporting native speakers and teachers in Russian schools of these countries, and it applies not only to work in Azerbaijan, but also in general," the rector of Moscow State University concluded.
