Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said that it's necessary to create European centers for reception of refugees outside the bloc.
"We need refugee centers outside the EU. They should be managed jointly with the UNHCR.It's not important where exactly will they be. It's important that they will provide protection, and that people who try to enter Europe illegally will be returned there," he said, adding that such organizations may be located in Georgia or in Western Balkans.
"This wrong policy was supported by heads of many states and governments, as well as by the European Commission. It was based on good intentions, but it was always clear to me: if we're attracting people to central Europe, more and more will come there," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
