Turkey is in talks with Russia on the potential purchase of S-400 air missile defense systems, the Turkish Defence Minister Fikri Isik said, adding that Ankara was also in touch with other countries on missile defense.
"Russia's stance on the issue has so far been positive," Isik said.
"But this does not mean that we will ignore Russia’s proposals. We are pushing ahead with pro-active work in this direction. Our ultimate goal is to start producing these systems on our own," TASS cited Isik as saying.
