The actions of the Russian Air Forces in Syria helped to stop the resource support for terrorist groups, protecting European countries from international terrorism, the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, said.
"The withdrawal of the Russian Air Forces from Syria shows that the tasks they were set in Syria have been fulfilled," he noted.
"The international community, especially European countries, should be thankful that Russia has protected the world from international terrorism," the head of the republic stressed. "It is important to note that Europe was the main target of international terrorist groups," he added.
According to Yevkurov, Russian factions involved in the fighting in the Middle East have demonstrated to the world that modern Russia's armed forces are able to defend their interests anywhere in the world, and the leadership of the Russian Federation is ready to defend the interests of its allies.
He considers the fact that Russia does not abandon its commitments to supply the Syrian government with weapons and military equipment, as well as the training of military specialists, to be important.
