 Yildirim announces reshuffle in Turkey's government

Turkey reshuffled its Cabinet with five new ministers, the country's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said today.

Speaking to reporters at the presidential complex in Ankara after an unscheduled meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Yıldırım said six ministers have new portfolios, while five newcomers have joined the Cabinet.

Yıldırım said that 11 members of 27-member Cabinet have been reshuffled, Anadolu Agency reported.

Bekir Bozdağ (former justice minister) and Fikri Işık (former defense minister) were appointed Deputy Prime Ministers. Mehmet Şimşek, Recep Akdag and Hakan Çavuşoğlu are also Deputy Prime Ministers.

Abdulhamit Gül was appointed Minister of Justice, Nurettin Canikli was appointed Minister of National Defense.
