Yıldırım says Georgia is Turkey's strategic partner

Georgia is Turkey's most important neighbor and strategic partner, the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said at the meeting with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili on the sidelines of the 53rd Munich Security Conference.

According to the press service of the Georgian Governmental Administration, the main topics of the meeting covered the Georgian-Turkish bilateral cooperation, which is characterized by exceptionally positive dynamics.

The prime ministers spoke of the need to further intensify the bilateral economic ties between the two countries and confirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation on important international projects, including the successful implementation of the Southern Corridor.

Yıldırım invited Giorgi Kvirikashvili to attend the summit of the heads of states celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Istanbul, which is scheduled for May 22.
