Georgia and Turkey are preparing to launch a pilot project for electronic exchange of TIR-related information (TransPorts International Routers) between the customs administrations of the two countries in March.
The intergovernmental agreement was signed in Ankara between the Georgian Minister of Finance, Nodar Khaduri, and the Turkish Minister of Customs and Trade, Bulent Tufenkci.
The pilot project is intended to simplify customs procedures in three years, Trend reports.
Recall that Turkey is one of the largest trading partners of Georgia.
