Russia’s Federation Council has appointed Yuri Chaika Russia’s prosecutor-general for another five-year term. The decision was carried by a unanimous 152 majority vote.
Chaika has been the Prosecutor-General since 2006. Vladimir Putin’s proposal for his reappointment was submitted to the Federation Council on May 23.
