Answering a question from a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, about how the Russian Foreign Ministry views the first-ever visit of US Secretary of State John Kerry to the countries of Central Asia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that "both the US and the countries of the Central Asian region have the right to develop relations."
"We always advocate that these relations be conducted based on mutual respect for international law," she said.
