Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif congratulated the Iranian film director Asghar Farhadi for winning Oscar 2017.
"Proud of Cast and Crew of 'The Salesman' for Oscar and stance against #MuslimBan. Iranians have represented culture and civilization for millennia," Zarif posted on his Twitter page.
Well-known Iranian film director Farhadi for the second time won Academy Award Oscar for his 'The Salesman' as the best foreign film early Monday.
The director made awards history in 2012 when his film A Separation became the first Iranian film to win an Oscar.
