A repetition of the hyperinflation in 1998 is impossible now, since the situation in Russia is radically different from the old reality, the First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Alexander Zhukov, said at the Gaidar Forum.
"Today, we have the resources to prevent catastrophic changes in the economy," he promised.
Speaking about the budget cuts, Zhukov noted that, most likely, it will touch the inefficient and investment spending.
